When Seasons of Life are Hard

This week I had some difficult situations. In the midst of these hard situations, the Lord reminded me that He is with me.

There was a song that I heard for the first time during service on last Sunday that blessed me. Then I woke up to hearing this song inwardly this week. It encouraged and reminded me that God is here and sees. In the song it talks about difficult times (losing a loved one, financial loss, pain, anger at God, turning from God) but how God was there. One of the lyrics says,

This is enough Lord, this broken beautiful life is enough, You are enough Lord, in the lean years and the losing, you are enough, not because it didn’t hurt, not because the loss weren’t real and deep but because You were in every single one them and nothing that I loved did you let me lose alone, this is enough, You are are enough. Psalm 46:1 (Berean Standard Bible) “God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in times of trouble.”

In the midst of hard and difficult times, we can turn to the Lord and ask for strength. I had these moments this week in which I turned and cried out to Him for help. He is our refuge and strength. He gave me help and renewed strength.

Deuteronomy 31:6 (BSB) “Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or terrified of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you”

In hard and difficult times, we may also need courage to do the right thing or to simply continue keeping God first in our lives. God’s word reminds us that no matter where we are He is with us. He is faithful and will never leave or forsake us. We may not understand all that is happening but can be confident that the Lord will be with us through it and give us the grace and strength needed for each day. He is truly enough in our lives.

Lord, thank you that You are enough for me. Thank you that You never leave me or forsake me. Thank you that you are with me in every season of my life. Thank you for your faithfulness and for all your blessings. I love you Lord.
